2022-02-22merge poolio.cxx into itempool.cxxLuboš Luňák
It doesn't make sense to have few SfxItemPool functions in a separate source file, and without LTO those tiny functions do not get inlined, which is confusing when profiling. 2021-12-10Generally determine Rdb content from gb_*_set_componentfile callsStephan Bergmann
...instead of by listing the content somewhat redundantly in the Rdb_*.mk files, to avoid duplication of logic for components that are only built conditionally (and thus should only be included conditionally in the corresponding Rdb). To achieve that, add an "rdb" parameter to gb_ComponentTarget_ComponentTarget (and to the gb_*_set_componentfile macros that internally call gb_ComponentTarget_ComponentTarget), which is used to make the appropriate gb_Rdb_add_component call internally from within gb_ComponentTarget_ComponentTarget. (As a special case, gb_CppunitTest_set_componentfile shall not call gb_Rdb_add_component, as that has already been done by the corresponding gb_Library_set_componentfile call, so allow the gb_ComponentTarget_ComponentTarget "rdb" parameter to be empty to support that special case.) Most Rdb_*.mk files are thus mostly empty now. One exception is i18npool/Rdb_saxparser.mk, which duplicates some of the Rdb_services content as needed during the build in CustomTarget_i18npool/localedata. 1c9a40299d328c78c035ca63ccdf22c5c669a03b "gbuild: create services.rdb from built components" had already tried to do something similar (in addition to other things) under a new --enable-services-rdb-from-build option. However, that approach had four drawbacks that this approach here addresses (and which thus partly reverts 1c9a40299d328c78c035ca63ccdf22c5c669a03b): 1 Rdb_services shall not contain the component files of all libraries that are built. While that commit filtered out the component files that go into Rdb_ure/services (ure/Rdb_ure.mk), it failed to filter out the component files that go into others like Rdb_postgresql-sdbc (connectivity/Rdb_postgresql-sdbc.mk). 2 The code added by that commit to Makefile.gbuild codified the knowledge that there is an Rdb_services, which is brittle. 3 The code added by that commit to solenv/gbuild/Rdb.mk codified the knowledge (for gb_Rdb__URECOMPONENTS) that there is an Rdb_ure/services, which is brittle. 4 Introducing an --enable-services-rdb-from-build option needlessly provided two different ways how the content of Rdb_services is assembled. The changes done here would leave --enable-services-rdb-from-build as a misnomer, as it no longer controls how Rdb_services is assembled. I thus renamed it to --enable-customtarget-components, as that is apparently what it still does now. 2021-12-06make it clearer that ScHint is modifiedLuboš Luňák
It's somewhat confusing that an accessor is provided to give a reference to internal data and then the object is modified indirectly using the reference. It appears to be only for performance reasons, so I thought that inlining the ctor and ctor could help the compiler to optimize this, but apparently it can't move this outside of the loop, so at least make it clearer. we are loading a spreadsheet in parallel here, but the parallel threads achievei very little actual concurrency because of heavy contention in the SharedStringPool mutex. So switch to a concurrent hash map. I looked at a couple of different ones (including the Folly one), and this was the one with the simplest resulting code. 2020-09-23tdf#128136: Build curl, nss, and xmlsec for iOS, tooTor Lillqvist
We must link nss statically, including the three dylibs that normally are loaded at run-time, because including bare dylibs in an iOS appp on the App Store is not OK. See https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/125796 . For linking the softokn3 library statically, NSS already had code, behind NSS_STATIC_SOFTOKEN ifdefs. Introduce two more macros: NSS_STATIC_FREEBL for the freebl library and NSS_STATIC_PKCS11 for the nssckbi library. Turn off parallelism for the sub-make building nss. There seems to be race conditions or something when running simultaneous instances of the nsinstall.py script or the nsinstall program in nss (used when building nss for the build platform). When cross-compiling from macOS, use python3 to run the nsinstall.py script, as it is Python 3. 2020-02-27tdf#130725: use strtod by David M. Gay to make sure we get the nearestMike Kaganski
... representation of given decimal. Use dtoa.c from https://www.netlib.org/fp/dtoa.c to build a custom static library that doesn't use current locale (unlike strtod from stdlib.h). This is the implementation used by e.g. python and nss (search for "dtoa.c" under UnpackedTarball). To avoid name clash with the standard strtod, rename the function to strtod_nolocale. Size of buffer on stack in ImpSvNumberInputScan::StringToDouble is 256 characters. Logging function usage in make check, of ~124 600 invocations, the longest string was 14 characters, average being 2.1 characters. So heap allocation is unlikely in scenarios with intensive function usage. After std::from_chars is available in baseline compilers, external library can be dropped, and call to strtod_nolocale replaced with the standard function. The artifact at https://dev-www.libreoffice.org/src/dtoa-20180411.tgz is created with mkdir dtoa && mkdir dtoa/src && wget https://www.netlib.org/fp/dtoa.c -O dtoa/src/dtoa.c && \ printf 'd8bab255476f39ea495c8c8ed164f9077da926e6ca7afb9ad3c56d337c4484fe dtoa/src/dtoa.c' | sha256sum -c && \ tar -c --owner=0 --group=0 --mode=go=r,u=rw --mtime='Wed, 11 Apr 2018 15:59:39 GMT' dtoa/src/dtoa.c | gzip -n > dtoa-20180411.tgz && \ printf '0082d0684f7db6f62361b76c4b7faba19e0c7ce5cb8e36c4b65fea8281e711b4 dtoa-20180411.tgz' | sha256sum -c (where the date "Wed, 11 Apr 2018 15:59:39 GMT" is from `wget -S https://www.netlib.org/fp/dtoa.c` "Last-Modified: Wed, 11 Apr 2018 15:59:39 GMT" header). 2019-04-25Cut down on -pthread/-lpthread proliferationStephan Bergmann
Building against libstdc++ effectively always requires -pthread anyway (as various standard C++ headers require it, see the comment added to solenv/gbuild/platform/unxgcc.mk), so many explicit uses of -pthread/-lpthread can be removed. Doing a (partial) test build on Linux with Clang -stdlib=libc++ suggests that libc++ indeed doesn't need -pthread as libstdc++ does. The remaining uses of -pthread/-lpthread are mostly in configure.ac for the various BSDs (which somebody else might want to clean up now), and related to external projects. I tried to be careful to remove -pthread/-lpthread from makefiles only when C++ object files are involved (so -pthread will now be included on the link command line by default). Goal ist to handle Items more as Objects ('Object-Oriented') in the sense to move/handle instances, not to copy one instance over another one (which is more and more problematic with hard to copy content as UNO API stuff or similar). This lead to much more usages of std::shared_ptr which correlates well with future plans fr Items (see dev branch). Next logic step will be to also remove copy constructor Linux build and corrections done Fixed Writer test and removed unused defines Fixed another unused m,acro Started to unify the AutoFormat stuff Changes to OUString constructor usages, tests completely No idea why, but SfxStringItem constructor which takes a OUString& now insists of not getting ::OUString's handed in - changed all 'SfxStringItem.*OUString.*".*"' accordingly Change-Id: Ibed7358b18fb019994a7490332b9d797a6694c29 Reviewed-on: https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/71075 Tested-by: Jenkins Reviewed-by: Armin Le Grand <Armin.Le.Grand@me.com>
