c3bd52f81bf733a0b9b0560794a54b2ac1e0f444 "Use the (first segment of the) original locale value for the workaround again" had stated: "The added test code unfortunately doesn't actually test this piece of code, and somewhat unexpectedly receives the "default" value from the empty string locale default, rather than the "en-US" value from the higher precedence "en-US" locale default, because `aFallbacks` happens to contain an empty string, so we already leave Access::getChild early in the 'Find the best match using the LanguageTag fallback mechanism, excluding the original tag' block." But, of course, the relevant code can well be tested after all, using a localized property that does not have a default no-xml:lang value. (And add a TODO comment about the unexpected "default" vs. "en-US" in the original test code, in case the LanguageTag::getFallbackStrings behavior ever changes and the test starts to fail.) 2022-07-12unittest: Split out registry entries to alter UI definition search pathColomban Wendling
Accessibility tests will require testing the normal UI, so will need not alter the search path for definitions. It will however benefit from other environmental overrides (locale, fonts, etc.). The solution here splits out to a separate registry the piece of configuration that alter the UI, so users can select the features set they need. The default gb_CppunitTest_use_configuration is updated to keep working the same as before, using both layers. gb_CppunitTest_use_unittest_configuration is replaced by specific ones for each configuration layer, and the two direct call sites removed as they were redundant anyway (gb_CppunitTest_use_unittest_configuration is only a subset of gb_CppunitTest_use_configuration). New macros are gb_CppunitTest_use_common_configuration for the common layer and gb_CppunitTest_use_user_ui_configuration for the UI one. Some CppunitTests like CppunitTest_sw_core_layout that use gb_CppunitTest_use_configuration and happen to run enough VCL may trigger the UpdateCheckJob (see example backtrace below), which is known to be problematic as it may spawn (via UpdateCheck) an UpdateCheckThread that is not joined, so it can still run during exit and cause trouble. However, there should be no need for CppunitTests to (accidentally) run that UpdateCheckJob anyway, so disable it. As it is unlikely that any test would actually want the Tip-Of-The-Day dialog to appear, just set the corresponding configuration property to false so that all tests using gb_CppunitTest_use_unittest_configuration no longer show it. (<https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/69498/21..22/sfx2/source/view/viewfrm.cxx> had added the --nofirststartwizard resp. later --nologo hack to SfxViewFrame::Notify in sfx2/source/view/viewfrm.cxx, in response to <https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/69498/21> failing in UITest_hide_cols. However, that hack is not obsoleted by this change, as those UITest apparently don't use gb_CppunitTest_use_unittest_configuration.)
