From 6e78bf76f3a10b43475e1bd801bdcbb9ce62f668 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Adolfo Jayme Barrientos Date: Wed, 6 May 2015 18:25:01 -0500 Subject: Avoid using letters with descenders as accelerators MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit The underlining of accelerator keys creates a visual conflict with the descender strokes of the letters g, j, p, q, and y, which slows down visual scanning; not to mention that some UI fonts might be especially problematic due to their design (I’m looking at you, Apple, for choosing the grotesque Helvetica Neue, which is particularly unsuitable for UIs).
