<paragraph role="paragraph" id="par_id3154013" xml-lang="en-US" l10n="U" oldref="2">Controls the scaling of the Y axis. The X axis can also be scaled here for X-Y charts.</paragraph>

<paragraph role="paragraph" id="par_id3149400" xml-lang="en-US" l10n="U" oldref="5">You can enter values for subdividing axes in this area. You can automatically set the five properties <emph>Minimum, Maximum, Major interval, Minor interval</emph> and <emph>Axis at</emph>.</paragraph>

You can use logarithmic scaling to make the grid lines of the axis equidistant but have values that may increase or decrease.</paragraph>

<paragraph role="paragraph" id="par_id3150397" xml-lang="en-US" l10n="U" oldref="71">Specifies whether the marks are to be on the inner or outer side of the axis. It is possible to combine both: you will then see marks on both sides.</paragraph>
